Model Interpretation:
3: Represents a pump body diameter of approximately 3 inches (approximately 76mm), suitable for small-diameter deep wells.
L: Vertical/Centrifugal.
A: Usually represents "deep well" or "submersible".
R: Represents "plastic" or "soft material". Here, it specifically refers to a plastic impeller.
Core Form: Single-stage or multi-stage centrifugal submersible pump.
Working Method: Directly submerged in water, using centrifugal force to pump water out. Its core feature is that the impeller uses high-strength engineering plastics such as PPO (polyphenylene oxide) or nylon, rather than metal.
Core Working Principle: Lightweight Centrifugal + Solar Direct Drive
The 3LAR series works in a very simple and direct way:
Submersible Operation: Like all submersible pumps, it sinks directly to the bottom of the well or underwater, with no suction head limitations, easily drawing water from deep wells.
Plastic Impeller Rotation: A brushless DC motor drives the plastic impeller to rotate at high speed. Although plastic is not as hard as metal, modern engineering plastics have extremely high strength, are lightweight, and have a low coefficient of friction.
Low Power Consumption Startup: Due to the lightweight impeller, the rotational inertia of the entire rotor is small, so it has a low starting current, making it very suitable for solar power. In the morning when the sunlight is weak and the voltage is low, it is easier to start than high-power metal pumps.
Core Features: Lightweight, Low Cost, Rust-proof
Feature Detailed Description
Extremely High Cost-Effectiveness The biggest advantage. Compared to stainless steel impeller pumps (such as 4PSS), the cost of plastic impellers is significantly reduced. If you are only using it for simple agricultural irrigation or non-potable water supply, it is the most cost-effective option.
Lightweight and Easy to Install The plastic impeller is much lighter than the stainless steel impeller, and the pump body usually also uses aluminum alloy or engineering plastic, making the entire machine very light (usually only a few kilograms), and one person can easily carry and lower it into the well.
Never Rusts The plastic impeller is completely resistant to water corrosion. Even in water containing chemicals or salt, it will not rust and seize up like metal pumps.
Strong Self-Priming Capability Due to the high rotation speed and special flow channel design, when used as a shallow well pump, its self-priming capability is often superior to comparable metal screw pumps.
Typical Application Scenarios
The 3LAR series is the preferred equipment for small farms and home gardens:
Shallow/Deep Well Water Extraction:
Suitable for deep wells with small diameters (around 3 inches) for extracting groundwater.
Home Garden Irrigation:
Used for automatic watering and sprinkler systems in villa gardens and balcony vegetable gardens.
Fish Pond/Water Tower Replenishment:
Used to pump water from a lower level to a rooftop water tank or fish pond for circulation.
Temporary Construction Water Supply:
Due to its lightweight and portability, it is ideal for temporary water pumping on construction sites.
Selection and Usage Recommendations
Strictly Prohibited for Pumping Sand (Crucial):
This is its biggest weakness. Although the plastic impeller is strong, it is not wear-resistant. If the well water contains sand, the sand particles will quickly wear down the plastic impeller like sandpaper, leading to a sharp decrease in flow rate.
Recommendation: Only use for clean water or slightly turbid water; absolutely not for pumping sand or mud.
Flow Rate and Head Limitations:
Due to its small size and impeller material limitations, its single-stage head and flow rate are usually not as good as the larger diameter 4PSS or LHF series. It is more suitable for scenarios with medium head (20-50 meters) and low flow rate (1-3 tons/hour).
Frost Protection:
If used in winter, the remaining water in the pump body must be drained after shutdown (if it is placed above the water surface), as the plastic may become brittle and crack at extremely low temperatures.
The 3LAR series is the "economical and practical" option among solar water pumps. If you only need to pump clean water, are budget-conscious, or only need it for small-area household water use, it is more cost-effective than the expensive stainless steel pumps (4PSS). But please remember, it is sensitive to sand and is only suitable for clean water environments.
