Stainless steel submersible sewage pumps are submersible fluid machines specifically designed for transporting liquids containing solid particles, fibers, sludge, and corrosive media. They integrate the electric motor and pump into a single unit, operating submerged in the liquid, and are indispensable power equipment in modern industrial, municipal, and building drainage systems.


1. Core Structure and Materials

The pump mainly consists of three parts: a stainless steel pump body, a sealing device, and a submersible electric motor.

Flow-through component materials: Depending on the corrosiveness of the medium, precision casting is primarily used with stainless steel materials such as 304, 316, and 316L. 304 is suitable for generally corrosive media, while 316/316L, due to the addition of molybdenum, offers superior corrosion resistance and is suitable for harsh environments such as seawater and strong acids and alkalis.
Impeller structure: Typically uses a single-channel, double-channel, or double-blade design. This design, similar to a bent pipe, has a wide flow channel, effectively allowing the passage of solid particles up to 50% of the pump's diameter and fibrous materials up to 5 times the diameter, completely solving the problem of clogging in traditional pumps.
Sealing system: Uses a double-face mechanical seal or a series mechanical seal structure, supplemented by fluororubber O-rings. This configuration provides double protection, effectively preventing sewage from entering the motor and ensuring safe and reliable operation.


2. Main Features

Corrosion-resistant and rust-proof: The all-stainless steel design and smooth surface are not only resistant to acids and alkalis but also meet food hygiene standards, making them suitable for applications with strict water quality requirements.
Non-clogging and strong drainage: The unique impeller flow channel design, combined with optional cutting or stirring devices, can easily handle sewage containing sludge, rags, and household waste.
Convenient installation and maintenance: Equipped with a double-guide rail automatic coupling device, the pump body can slide freely on the guide rails. Installation or maintenance can be completed using a lifting chain without requiring workers to enter the water, greatly reducing labor intensity.
Multiple protection: The motor usually has a water leakage detection sensor (oil-water probe) and stator overheat protection components.  Combined with a dedicated control cabinet, it can provide automatic alarm and shutdown protection against water leakage, electrical leakage, overload, and overtemperature.
Smooth Operation: The impeller has undergone dynamic and static balance testing, resulting in low vibration and noise during operation.


3. Application Areas

Thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance and anti-clogging performance, it is widely used in the following scenarios:

Municipal Engineering: Drainage systems of urban sewage treatment plants, rainwater pumping stations, and drainage of accumulated water on overpasses.
Industrial Wastewater Discharge: Wastewater discharge in chemical, pharmaceutical, paper, printing and dyeing, food and beverage industries, especially wastewater containing acidic and alkaline components.
Building and Construction: Sewage lifting stations in basements, civil defense systems, and high-rise buildings.
Commercial and Public Facilities: Wastewater discharge from hospitals, hotels, and shopping malls.
Others: Wastewater treatment in aquaculture farms, agricultural irrigation and drainage, and discharge of mine water containing sediment.

Medium Temperature: Generally not exceeding 60℃ - 80℃ (higher temperatures possible with special design)
Medium pH Range: Depending on the material, usually 4 - 10 (304) or 2 - 13 (316)


5. Selection Suggestions

When selecting a stainless steel submersible sewage pump, please be sure to clarify the following working conditions:

Medium Characteristics: Is it clean water, domestic sewage, or corrosive industrial wastewater? Does it contain a large amount of sediment or long fibers?
Flow Rate and Head: Calculated based on the actual drainage volume and conveying height (including pipeline losses).
Material Requirements: Select 304 or 316L material based on the acidity and alkalinity of the liquid.
Installation Method: Is it a fixed coupling installation or a mobile hose connection?
